Effective from 11 September 2023, ‘ Marco’s on the Murray’ (of the Melville Group, Bryan, Mitchell, Aidan and Rhys) will be taking over a lease to manage our Club restaurant. Due to open for business on or around 19 September 2023.
Bryan is from Mansfield, and his 35 years in the hospitality business have enabled him to work in some very well-known kitchens and businesses throughout the UK, Fiji, Switzerland and Australia. Mitchell began his career working at the Corowa Chocolate and Whisky factory as an apprentice, then working for Bryan in Rutherglen and as a team have worked previously at the Balldale hotel and at the Wagga country club. We look forward to this new partnership providing a new, exciting offering for members and guests.
Also, we are working through plans to establish a Cafe in the clubhouse due to be operating from the first week of September. It will provide limited light meals and snacks. Current Catering Manager Bev Osbourne has been offered and accepted the role as Café Manager.
This new partnership will support the ongoing financial sustainability of our Club and ensuring this long-term success is a high priority.
We’re excited to let you know as of tomorrow Saturday – holes 19, 23 and 27 are back in play for members to enjoy.
Simply drop into the proshop and let them know you’d like to head out and play 3, 6, 9 or more and they’ll keep a track of those teeing off on these holes.
These holes will be incorporated into a composite course at times once recovery works start at the end of July. Enjoy!
